A big thank you to all who attended the Saint Nicholas Nibble Night. This day is a special one for La Campagna as it is the birthday of our father, Daniel Nicholas Fragassi. He was an animated man who in some ways mimicked his Patron Saint's attitude of laughter and fun for the children.
Those in who attended feasted on the following items:
Seven Layer Salmon Canape
Twice Baked Potatoes with Pancetta
Mozzarella and Roasted Red Pepper Salad
Seafood Salad
Shrimp Benedetto
Chicken Pillows with Asiago and Prosciutto
Beef Formaggio
Crab Cakes
Trofie Pasta with Cherry Tomatoes
Cannoli Dessert
There was a festive selection of wines to sample with each item. The evening was nice and pleasant. What a fitting way to celebrate Saint Nicholas and the special season upon us!
Blessings to all and happy birthday Dad!
We are 2nd generation Italo Americans from the Puglia Region. Our story is like many Italo Americans brought together via tradition, laughter, family and food. Since we could walk, we were in our grandparents' gardens reaching for the prized "seed" tomato. The "tasty tomato" is our life force; metaphor for love, food, tradition, memories, comfort, the market, summer canning, harvest, celebration, and much more. Share our family traditions as we build upon the legacy of our Italian Ancestry.
Food Is...
Family, Tradition, Memories, Flavors, Gatherings, Laughter, Life, Vitality, Comfort...Love.
