Let's focus on Saint Nicholas Day, December 6th.

We have a special connection to this saint. Our father was born on his feast day and in honor of Saint Nicholas, our father was named, Daniel Nicholas Fragassi. Technically, it was Donato Niccolo Fragasso, but in the translation to English and the crossing of the Atlantic the names were changed up a bit.
Another fascinating fact is that the relics of Saint Nicholas are buried in the Puglia Region of Italy. This is the region of our family. We feel blessed to have such a grand Saint to celebrate.
To celebrate the Feast Day and our father's birthday, we hold a special wine tasting appetizer night at the restaurant. Our father loved his food and little bites.
Of course this Feast Day is to celebrate the little ways Saint Nicholas would surprise those who left their shoes out. Do you remember receiving an orange or apply in your shoe? Ever wonder where the origin of such traditions came from?
