The quiet has set in, as we have all shared a lovely heart felt Christmas with our loved ones and friends. Hopefully memories were made, traditions were passed down and the warmth of love filled your heart and home.
We prepare for another year, 2009. With each new year, anticipation and expectation seen to take hold. However, a challenge for each of us as we ring in 2009; let's take one day at a time, live in the moment and cherish the present. Take time at the dinner table, talk with those seated around you. Create memories around the table of nurturing food and dialogue for the soul.
It seems that all of our buy now, pay later tactics have caught up with us and what we really need to do is slow down and live in this moment. Do what you can today, knowing that if truth and integrity live in your being, tomorrow will be okay. We don't need to worry about tomorrow, we don't need to live in the past, we need to cherish the moments we have in the present and bring our full being to the table to share.
This is our wish, from La Campagna and the Fragassi Family to yours....
Happy Holidays and a very Cherished New Year!
We are 2nd generation Italo Americans from the Puglia Region. Our story is like many Italo Americans brought together via tradition, laughter, family and food. Since we could walk, we were in our grandparents' gardens reaching for the prized "seed" tomato. The "tasty tomato" is our life force; metaphor for love, food, tradition, memories, comfort, the market, summer canning, harvest, celebration, and much more. Share our family traditions as we build upon the legacy of our Italian Ancestry.
Food Is...
Family, Tradition, Memories, Flavors, Gatherings, Laughter, Life, Vitality, Comfort...Love.
