As it was nearing lunch, we headed to Manfredonia, on the coast. Situated on the coastline of the Adriatic, we were entertained with a full explosion of flavors.
Shrimp Salad
- Pickled Mackerel
- Marinated Sardines
- Grilled Octopus with Lemon and Herbs
- Accompanied with a Fresh Tomato Bruschetta
The vistas from the table to the sea were breathtaking. You certainly appreciate life more when the scenery is so pure.
Our big adventure continued through the Gargano National Forest as we arrived at our evening destination. Our gracious host Peppe Zullo, had made arrangements for our group to be part of the audience for his televised cooking show. Certainly, the United States has its fair share of cooking shows. What a treat to see this done Italian Style!
It was a long day, filled with delicious flavors and excellent sites. Now time for bed. Until Tomorrow!
